Abstract

Stress management in business life includes a series of practices that protect employees by removing the elements that harm them, as well as ensuring their health and well-being. Employees' fear of losing their jobs and the fear of getting sick, especially for those who work in jobs that require close contact with other people, make the phenomenon of work stress one of the important issues in the COVID-19 process. Stress management programs aiming to reduce work stress have important effects in terms of both protecting employee health and eliminating negative behavioral consequences such as work accidents, absenteeism and low productivity. In this sense, strategies applied on an individual and organizational scale against work stress are needed in the COVID-19 process and the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic are tried to be eliminated. One of the strategies applied to reduce work stress during the COVID-19 process is the introduction of flexible working and working from home system. Although companies that make financial profits thanks to this system are satisfied with the success of the system, the negativities that arise due to reasons such as opportunism and fraud show that the infrastructure for providing cyber security is insufficient in terms of technology. In this sense, the COVID-19 process also sheds light on the strategies to be developed for the protection and security of data regarding remote work.
