Abstract

This study; It is a field survey examining the current active applications of inspiring artificial intelligence possibilities for disaster areas. Artificial intelligence; It is a technology that makes a positive contribution to combating disasters such as earthquakes, floods, fires and landslides. Rather than healing the wounds of a disaster, ensuring that it does not turn into a disaster will be the most effective measure. As a matter of fact, disasters are defined as "natural events" as long as there is no loss of life or property. It is possible for a disaster to remain a natural event, just like wind or rain, by preventing it from turning into a disaster. Therefore, the first goal to focus on should be "prevention". In this context, there are some concrete and successful examples of artificial intelligence currently being used. In the study, the applications of artificial intelligence in the fields of disaster preparation-prevention, early warning, maintenance and repair, risk analysis, search & rescue and damage assessment will be discussed and some suggestions will be made. In addition, the contributions of machine learning or artificial intelligence are mundeniable in the software developed for all these areas.
