The film tells the story of Philippe, a wealthy and successful businessman. Philippe becomes paralyzed after a paragliding accident and is no longer able to take care of himself. He is looking for a caregiver. Driss, who has just been released from prison, applies for the caregiver position not out of interest, but because he needs to fulfill a formality. Over time, a friendship begins to develop between the two characters. Thanks to Driss, Philippe gains a new perspective on life and, at the same time, begins to connect with life again.Mindfulness Therapy (Conscious Awareness) is a therapeutic approach that involves perceiving experiences as they are, without judgment or emotional evaluation. In short, Mindfulness Therapy emphasizes helping individuals stay in the moment, accept their experiences, and fully focus their minds and bodies on the present. It aims to help individuals change their mental attitudes and approach events with more conscious awareness. In individual practice, Mindfulness encourages individuals to shift their mental stance and view situations with greater openness and acceptance. This study examines the 2011 film The Intouchables (Can Dostum in Turkish) through the lens of the Mindfulness Therapy approach. The film is analyzed using the document analysis method. As a result, it is concluded that the film, when examined through the concepts of Mindfulness such as being in the moment, acceptance, and non-judgment, can offer valuable insights to the field of psychology from the perspective of Mindfulness Therapy.
